Going to be building a 35 Whelen soon for Iowa gun seasons, and am looking into blanks. Does anyone make a cut rifled 358 blank?

A: Yes! If you do due diligence in your research, there are plenty. Below is my quick research sample in addition to @Bfish22's recommendation.

Make excellent cut rifled/hand lapped barrels. You can get pre-fits, contoured or blanks. They also sell barrelled actions. I have a few of their barrels, all shoot great. Prices are Canadian, so a $500 barrel works out to $375 U.S.. They ship to the States all the time, so no hassles getting them sent to you.

Occasionally you will get lucky and find a barrel you are looking for in inventory at Bartlein, check their website regularly. Same thing with Kreiger. A .358 barrel would probably be unlikely though. However Kreiger shows a CM .358 barrel in stock. No idea what the contour or details are.

Here is the info that Krieger barrel:

.358 .350/.358CM0.350.35810SPTSPT271.252.750.8360.63L20

It's marked 'Sporter", SPT.
