34mm ring height

Is anyone running a VX-6 4-24x52 on Stiller Tac 300 LA w/ 20 MOA rail ( or comparable 700 or 700 clone )? I have #3 Bartlein & Manners EH-1 7mag build nearly ready and need to get rings ordered. Being as I don't want to play musical shipping, I am hoping for some input as to ring height, from a user of this scope. The search showed quite a few users, but no specifics. I recently built a rifle with a trued 700 action, bartlein #3 barrel and a McMillian edge stock. Put a 20 MOA rail on it. Used my vx-6 4X24 for load development but switched to a vx-6 2-12 for actual field use.

If I remember correctly I used the nightforce high rings for the 4-24 which are 1.25" high.

never liked the rail. It just didn't look right. set too high! Medium rings might have worked better but I was not planning to use that scope anyway. Good luck.

Now I have gone to the old timey leupold dovetail mounts with the 2-12.

Thanks rcoody, I was hoping to get by w/ mediums also. Got by with TPS lows on vx-6 3-18x44 on a 700 build w/20 moa base, but not sure about the 4-24x52. There are a lot of them out there now, so maybe someone will know.

It's not what you asked, but it's the 'net. What does one expect. I mounted that scope in Talleys on a clone with a large diameter barrel. At 10" the barrel is 1.1". If you want a photo, I will try to post one.

The Talleys are nice, but not what I want. Thinking Seekins, Burris or TPS steel.
