338 Win Mag loads

Load for two 338winchester. One in Model 110 Savage 225gr Hornady Spire Point. IMR 4350 70.5grs 2950FPS 24" barrel. Second Weatherby Vanguard shooting 210Gr Barnes TTSX IMR 4350 73.3gr 2925FPS. Taken quite a number of animals. Took Eland in Africa with the Weatherby no issues. Both shoot .420" groups. Hope this helps.

My 338 Win Mag was originally stocked with a Ramline stock with the solid plastic butt pad. I called it Subdural Hematoma as it made me see double after a session at the range. Sheared off 2 sets of rings until I added a brake and a laminate stock. It's now a pleasure to shoot. I found R19 and IMR 4350, 4831 and H 4350 to work well with the Bullets your going to use. Just ask the Bull in my pic that was DRT with a 250 grain Hornady Spire Point.
Moosekiller99. I have a pound of H-450 I would give you!

I just picked up eight boxes of 338 dia. bullets from an estate sale. Four are Nosler 210 partitions and the other four are Hornady 225 flat base spire points. These are in older boxes and I don't know if they are interlocks or not. I have never loaded for the 338 Win Mag but I have a new in the box Model 70 Super Grade made in South Carolina. I want to start loading for and hunting with this rifle and wondering if any body has pet loads for the two above mentioned bullets. Scanning the load books RL-19 seems to be the go to powder. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
I've used RL-19 with the Horn.225 Flat base but I no longer have the data on this load. I've just started using the new RL-16 powder with good success! I have use IMR 4350 with good success for years too!

225 Hornady's 71.5 grs IMR 4350 in a older Savage 110, 210grs Barnes TTSX with 73.3grains IMR 4350 in Weatherby Vanguard wood stock model used in Africa mid October temps up to 90F. No temperature issues. Both loads .5" or less at 100 yards.

The modern powders works so much better. For in your case 210 and 225. I was a 338 Lapua person, but I loaded 338Win for a friend.

Ramshot big game and Hunter were my powders. StaBall 6.5 is my new go to. Hybird 100V is good for 243 through 338. Hard to find.
