I have a .338 Normally AI. I freaking love it! It was designed around the 300 gr. Bullets, it has a tad advantage over the standard. 338 Lapua.
I enjoy mine because I can shoot standard .338 Normally Magnums or AI versions.

What is your build? Bullets, velocities, accuracy, etc. I have several 338's ranging from a 338-06 to 338 LAI's. The 338 Norma improved is on my possible to do list.

Mine is a DT SRS, 22" barrel spin up by DMR Rifles, using 300 gr. SMK's or Burger 300gr. Bullets, with Retumbo . Getting 2,703 velocity. With factory .338 Norma ammo I'm getting 2,740 out of it.
Accuracy is amazing... see attached. 100 yards and 1450 . I only had two bullets on hand, left my ammo at home!!!! But first round hits

There is a ton of information being written about the 338 Norma Mag. because DoD has picked it up for a new sniper rifle platform. Capstone has a contract to load the .338 Norma Mag. for USSOCOM Advanced Sniper Rifle Ammunition. This ammunition is to be employed for missions out beyond 1,600 meters.

That is amazing accuracy!
Either the straight 338 Norma or Improved are awesome, Great velocity pushing the 300 gr's and mine both drive tacks. Getting about 75fps more out of the AI. Pushing it at 2990 with RL33 and Lapua brass!! Don't bother with Hornady brass, it's junk!! Stick with Lapua or if you want headstamped try Peterson.

I love mine. I have 2 both straight 338 Norma's. One is a hunter weight, stiller Tac 338, 24 in proof, iota kremlin stock...about 10.5 lbs scoped out...the other is waiting on a stock..22 in MTU bartline, Stolle Panda repeater...will have a Manners T4a team stock will be about 15.5 lbs scoped.. I have a Griffen suppressor I have been waiting on for them...
