338 Lapua

I just bought a new REM 700 XCR Tactical in 338 Lapua with Detach Mag and Muzzle Brake

I put a B/C Medalist Tact/Varmint stock on it.

installed a Zeiss 4.5x14 Scope with Tactical Turrent using Leupold 15MOA Tactical Base using Warne QR Rings.

I have loaded some ammo

300gr Berger Elite Hunting
Retumbo @ 91.9
Fed 215M primer
Hornady Brass

I would like to try it on moose this fall.

Any suggestions my Nikon Rangefinder is good for 550 yards so I guess I need get a 1K or better rangefinder.

About the Tactical Turrent from Zeiss I know it is in .25" clicks any suggestions on zeroing it at 100 yards or 200 yards.......etc. I do not plan on shooting anything past 1K.

I just got a Leica 1200 CRF. It would be perfect for what your looking for, as soon as I got it out of the box I went outside and ranged a white van at 1277 yards.

You can find them on ebay for about $450. I got mine for under $400 and sold my used Nikon 550 for $175. Not bad.....
