I'm looking to buy a conversion for a desert tech I just bought used in 7wsm. Really like the gun. Sold a savage 338 and a Christensen arms 300 Norma to buy it and get another set of barrels. I have shot both but only to 800yrds. The Norma I had setup for a hunt with 208 Barnes. Never really stretched its legs before plans changed.
For strictly long range target shooting which is better? 300 Norma with 230 grn or 338 lapua with more bullet options? I shot 300gn matchkings with the one I had. The recoil from both were noticeable but not bad. Have dies and brass for both currently.
