Folks, if You where to order a new barrel for a rifle in .338 caliber that will push a 250 GK to 3050 FPS what twist would you order? That speed is in a 26" factory Winchester barrel. I am planning on a 28" barrel chambered in the same round. I would probably go to a 300 grn. Mk. Any input would be much welcomed. Planning on a cut rifled barrel. The cartridge is , for lack of a better word, a .340 AI.

I have loaded 250 gr. SGK's to 3040 fps with Reloader 25 in a 28" Lilja barrel with a 1 in 10 twist chambered for 340 Weatherby. A 1 in 10 twist should be sufficient for bullets up to 300 gr. SMK's.

Thanks, I was thinking a 10 twist but was open to other suggestions also. Now all I have to do is find a barrel.
