Varget 43 to 45.5 grains and Sierra 165 Game Kings HPBT or it's brother

I use 45 gr in my 500 yard gong gun but Bl-C(2) in my Mod 7. The 45 gr load is kind of hot; primer pockets eventually get loose. I might dial it down some...

Five shots at 100meters (2,773fps mean velocity)
Mauser M18 with a 22" barrel and suppressor

I like the Nosler BT 165 and 168 over 42.2gr/ IMR4064 in Norma cases. with an OAL of 2.800"

RL15/Varget will get the job done too.

Hey guys, do any of you know of a hunting load that shoots well in lots of rifles in .308, similar to like a Federal gold medal match?

I have a Winchester model 88 passed down from my dad that I would like to load some rounds for, but I don't have the time or components to spend working up a load.

I currently have Some IMR4064, H4350, and H4831SC on hand as well as a bunch of 208g AMAXs and some other stuff.

My pet load for years now in 308 is 165 gr. Speer B.T.S.P. #2034 with 42 gr. IMR 4064 2485 F.P.S. I have tried it in many 308 rifles and shoot fantastically in all!!!!!!!

I know the 88 and it's a nice handy shooter. For the lighter side, I'm shooting a 130 HP w/42 gr H-322, CCI BR2 primer. Crono is 2766 fps and pressure is low. My rifle is small ring mauser with 20 bbl, open sights, getting 3/4" @ 50 yds and my bad eyes. Take it easy on that 88, you don't want to stretch the headspace.

I've been using 43gr IMR 4064, 165 gr Sierra Spitzer Boat Tail or Hollow point Boat Tail, CCI 200 primer. This is in a Remington 700, it shoots less than MOA at 100 yds.

42.5 gr of 4895 is what they load lc match loads at with a 174 gr bullet

The Winchester eighty eightis a fine rifle. But it has a weak grip area simply because of its design be careful shooting anything "heavy ", if it were my rifle it would not shoot anything heavier than 150 grain bullet And at that it makes a fine deer rifle for the typical hunter

My grandfather killed a untold number of bears, deer and elk with his model 88 and Remington green box 180 grain corelocs. That gun still sits in our family gun safe

I use 42.5g IMR4064 with 150g Barnes TTSX bullets. I get 3 shots touching at 120 yards,

I would agree, but IMR4320 has been discontinued.

Never had an easier load to tune than a 168 berger classic hunter with IMR4064 in a .308

I'm going to go out on a limb and say If it won't shoot 165-168 gr bullets with Varget and a match primer in good cases it won't shoot.
