308 reamer for 338 federal ?

Can someone help? Can I use a 308 Winchester reamer to chamber a 338 Federal barrel? Can a bush just be fitted to reamer?

Any help would be great

Looking at the SAAMI prints, it appears you could cut the chamber body and shoulder with a 308 reamer. You will have to cut the neck and throat with something else.

Actually you will need to cut the neck, transition angle, leade and throat. I suggest using the proper reamer for the chamber.

It will end up being better and cheaper to use the correct reamer.
