I really don't want to do this, but I'd like to have Bruce build me one more rifle and can't fund the project without letting something go. This is a Bruce Baer Classic through and through. The rifle was build in the early to mid 90's but shot very little. Check out the serial number on the 700 Action! Exact round count is unknown, but I recently had the rifle to Bruce's shop and he bore scoped it and said it has plenty of life left in it with no throat erosion. He estimated 100-300 shots fired.
The rifle is chambered in 308 BAER Magnum. For those that don't know the round is formed by starting with 300 Weatherby and fire forming to improve the case. I had Bruce run a no-turn reamer in it so you don't have to turn case necks. I've found that this caliber is just as accurate during fire forming as it is when shooting previously formed cases. I've found in the two 308 Baer's that I've had there is an accuracy node around 84-85 grains of 4831SC and 190-200gr SMK's. This produces a velocity of 3100-3200fps
Specs on the rifle are:

- Double thick (0.300" I believe) pinned recoil lug
- 20 MOA Two Piece Nightforce Base
- Jewell Trigger set around 2#
- I believe the barrel is a fluted #5 Krieger 11-twist and 25" finish.
- Vias Micro Radial Brake
- The stock is a McMillan BDL in OD Black White Swirl gel-coat, standard LOP
- HS Precision Gen 1 DBM
- Full pillar bedding
- All of the work was done by Bruce Baer at Baer's Custom Rifles, Willow Hill, PA
