I picked up a new redhawk rifle here are the specks .

Remington 700 308 20" barrel 1 in 12 twist .
Timney trigger set to 2lbs
HS Presision stock .

Load
178 Amaxs
Winchester brass neck sized .002 neck tension
Federal match primer
RL 15 42.8 grains
Ran them thru my chrono 2515 I had deviations from 9 to 11 FPS
Here are my 100 yard groups this is a 4 shoot group at 100 yards I only loaded 4 for some reason don't ask why ?

Went out to 400 yards and groups where still good under MOA .

Doped to 600 yards could not hit the target ? I did notice that the last 15 loads I loaded and shot had .007 runout on them could this be my problem ? This baffles me ?

I know that 180 grainer are about max for a 1 in 12 .

All charges were hand weight , and all cases were trimmed to 2.005

My runout was from seating the bullets with a standard redding seating stem , then I switched to the VLD seating stem and my runout changed to .003 to .001 run out .
This is just bugging the S*** out of me ?

I am 40 off the lands at 2.185 base to ogive .

No shift in POI at 400 yards

Dialing scope

Wind was at 10 at my 6:00 .

Also scope has a level .

I am thinking bullets are not stable after 400 yards

I will load and go back to the range this weekend and shoot at 400 and 500 and see what it does this time out .
