I had a buddy ask me about doing some light weight projectile loads for his 300 win mag. I know I have 150 gr projectiles not sure about anything lighter. And I have a variety of powders, the more I move things around in the cabinet the more powders I find that I forgot I had. I just picked up 3# of h4350 and went to put them away and found 2# of h1000, hell yeah. Does anyone have any pet loads for a light weight projectile 300 win mag?

150 (in reality 170 is) is my bottom weight that I would load, but been thinking about doing some in the 110-135 range? No help for you yet on my part.

I'm with you, my lightest load is 180 gr. But my buddy has me thinks ng I might shoot a light projectile also

Thank you. Do you have any Chrono speeds?
3150 fps out of the 308 and 3500 fps out of the 300 Win. The reason I use Barnes is at those speeds they still hold together real well, I found most cup and core didn't like those kinds of velocity when impact was under 200 yards.

I shoot Barnes and they have always performed flawlessly. I use them in a 257 wby @3550 fps and never had a critter take a step. Thank you for the info

Wish I could recall my old load. Can't find my old log book. I loaded a bunch or reduced power loads with 125g bullets to break my wife in on my .300. The leftovers took care of a few crows. That was almost 40 years ago when we still had the farm.
