30/40 Krag reloads

Hi,
I am asking this question for a friend. He has a number of old 30 40 Krag's. Living in CA he must now shoot lead free (copper bullets). He realizes he will have to reload and has asked me for information on good reloading components for that cartridge. Any suggestions (I suggested moving!) would be appreciated.

Be aware that the .30-40 Krag has a MAXIMUM working pressure of 40,000 CUP. These were not very strong actions so watch your loading so as to stay within the ranges suggested and remember to test carefully while watching for signs of pressure.

The Nosler E-Tip is their solid copper bullet as suggested below.
