30-06 to 300 win

I have a rem 700 BDL in 30-06 that I got shooting lights out with the 165 GMX I live in CA so I need to have a monolithic bullet in the quiver. I was was looking at velocities and minimum speeds for expansion and I need more speed. At 2800 FPS sea level I'm looking at about a 500 yard max shot but this rifle has been accurate to 900. Is it possible to rechambering to a 300 win mag and retain the accuracy. I'm sure the only way to know for sure is to try it but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience doing this.

Sure, as long as the work is done properly. Need mag bolt face for the .300. Factory barrel? Hard to sink $$$ into those.

I believe it's a factory barrel it I'm second owner previous guy said it was trued and he had a Vias brake put on, I pillar bedded it. I may just go .280 ai with it and start slinging the 139 GMX's

Use a bit lighter bullet in the 06 to up your speed or try out these guys...
