280AI powders

I've used both H4831SC and RL26. RL26 is consistently 100fps faster. I'm getting 3177 shooting a 143 gr Hammer bullet and 3061 with a 160 gr Accubond. These velocities are in a 24" barrel.

168 accu-bond long range with RE 19 2960 into one ragged hole with 24 in barrel

L. Sherm reminded me of RE-23 to replace my load for RE-26. I got two pounds and first load was .5 MOA, cool! Then I saw 26 back in stock and have 6# on the way. LOL Now I have choices to play with...

With a 26" barrel that may play a role with so much burn time compared to my 22"? Enjoy!

I had the exact same velocity between 23 and 26 but 23 was more accurate.
Haven't had a chance to finish the load development, but at 200 yards, it's looking promising. 145 Barnes LRX.

Admittedly I have no experience with the Alliant powders, but both 4831 powders have given me excellent accuracy in 28 calibers of that general case capacity and mid weight bullets. May not be as fast, but stable, and accurate.

With a 24 inch barrel, I got better results in accuracy with the H4831sc at 3070. I did get better velocity with the r26 by about 80 feet per sec. but the accuracy wasn't as good.
