270wsm Reloading

Yeah I don't see Magpro out running RL26. But who knows till I try it.

You are probably right. To date magpro has been my go to powder for my 270wsm. However I have been very happy with results yielded from rl23 and rl26 in other calibers. I think I should be a little more stable temp wise than magpro also.

Here's the thing with me and temp stability.
With my hunting rigs I work up loads and practice at or around the temps I hunt in, and I chrono and log in temps for practically every shot.
Very rarely will I ever be seen at the range shooting my hunting rigs above 70°
My target rigs are a different story.

So, my Magpro arrived.
My case capacity will allow for 71.5 gr of Magpro with 150 gr VLD seated to my desired depth. So I'm going to work up from 67 gr.
Western powders list 71.0 gr as max for 150 vld.

Does that sound about right to anyone?

Sounds about right to me. I am shooting 73 with 140 noslers. Mildly flattened primers. I shoot 75 wth 130TSX's.
