270wsm 150lrab load

It really does shoot well with factory ammo. Getting about 1.25 inch groups at 100 yards. Was able to hit 8 inch steel plates out to 400 with 150 grain federal fusions. I don't remember having a miss? Hoping to do A little better than that with handloads. I'm going to keep the featherweight stock on it because it looks so good. Plenty of other rifles if I really wanna reach out a little more and hunt in bad weather.

I am pretty sure you are at the upper end. RL-26 will hit a hard pressure wall. Be careful.

Big time, and IMO the data from the Alliant site is pretty much top end.

We need to remember that pressure is speed and speed is pressure!

I'm 100% sure you will improve your groups with hand loads. Just keep everything you do to your brass consistent. Adjust only one variable at a time and you are on the path. Yea, the model 70 featherweight is a good looking rifle. I dig the curled forend on the stock.

150 ABLR is a different bullet with a different bearing surface and sectional density than those listed. I also am using CCI 250's and loading them close to 3.00 coal. Reloading manuals are a solid guide not a biblical revelation as to what will happen in your rifle and components.
