I ended up impulse buying a Christensen Arms 270 WSM. Have always wanted one and got a good price. I have done some searches but a lot of the posts are quite a few years old and not much was said about using H1000. I've herd now that the 270 WSM likes H1000 and was curious if anyone is running 145 gr ELD-X's with it. I say it really likes RL26 but I'm pretty sure I wont find that for another 3 years.... I do have a bunch of H1000 though so that's why I'm wanting to go that route. Thanks!

Christensen Arms Classic 270 WSM (24" Carbon)

63.2gr Reloader 22
Norma Brass
CCI 250 Primer
Hornady 145gr ELD-X
COAL – 2.830"
Muzzle Velocity – 3185

* This was a safe max load in my rifle. Don't start here. 🤠

I just worked up a load with Magpro with the 140 accubond in my Tikka T3 using the Nosler max load of 69.5 grains. Accuracy is 1/2 MOA but velocity is only 2960 which is disappointing. Nosler book says 3243 for velocity. I ran the ballistics and shot 1 round at 650 yds to verify the drop and it was on. Not sure what the deal is with the low velocity. Tikka barrel maybe?

I have a box of the 145 eldx to try next with Magpro and H4831 to see if I can get better velocity.

I'm hoping I'll have good results with the 145edl-x in 270win BLR (22"). Plenty of powder too choose from in my stock, but what will be the lucky winner? I'll also try Berger 150 vld-hunt and Nosler 150ablr.

I'm running 70 grains MagPro in a Browning X Bolt with 140 grain Nosler BT. It shoots great. Never really messed with drops. I just got a custom 270 wsm built but haven't made a load yet. But thinking Reloader 26 since I have some.

RG300WSM, while I have a few 145 eldx, I've not loaded them in my Savage md 14 American Classic 270 WSM ,24 inch bbl , I mostly used w-w cases but have some newer Norma . Im shooting norma brass also. If you end up not liking the norma brass I'll buy it from you except you can't replace it with anything else now 🤣

Prairie Sasquatch, mag pro is Formulated just for the WSM family of cartridges, did you use nosler brass? = less case volume compared to Winchester & Norma plus your factory Tikka bbl , I'm guessing gave you the lower speed , no offense about Tikka and I use no nosler brass . Reloaded for a friends 1885 falling block ,270 WSM 28 inch Octagon bbl 1/10 twist used MagPro it was Unreal the accuracy and speed averaged 3425 with close to max loads w-w-cases Speer 130 boatail forget primer ,🍀

I'm using Winchester brass. I didn't push the load past max data and certainly could as I don't have any pressure signs. I may try to push up to a higher accuracy node. In all reality it will kill deer or bears to 700 yards which is plenty of range and it's very accurate.
