I have a new GA Precision rifle coming in 260 Rem. with a 1-8.5 Bartlein barrel. I hope to shoot 139 Lapua Scena or Sierra 140 match kings. What powders should I look at? Is remington brass good enough or would it be better to go the extra expensive of Norma brass? Thanks

H4350 is the powder I use. If it where me I would get the Norma brass. The remington brass was to soft and, I had loose primer pockets on the second firing. That is however just my experence with the brass.
I have tried h4831sc and Varget w/ my 142 Sierra's in my 8 twst 20 " STS gun. Varget did well with 130 Bergers,but H4831sc w/142 shot awesome. I normally get 1/4" to 3/8" groups @100. 2620 FPS. I hear a lot of good reports on Reloader 17, but data not easy to find. I also use Varget w/123 Sierras in my DPMS LR260. I love 6.5's...my x-mas to me is a custom 26" 6.5 Grendel. I retired my 6.5x284 High power gun, it used h4831sc also. Hope this helps.

RL 17 and VV550 for speed. H4831sc for about 2800fps and excellent accuracy.

I had some IMR 4350 laying around and used it with Norma brass and it gave good accuracy.

Accuracy is up to you, but your powder choice is all about speed. I was pushing a 140g AMAX, 27" brux 1-8 at 2930fps. Put a 2" 4 round group on steel at 850 yards.

Lapua is about to start making 260 brass. Outstanding. Also necking up 243 works well.

Formaly announced at the 2011 SHOT show I believe. I wouldn't look for it before mid summer.
