New to the forum so I'm sure it's been expanded on before. Just had a new .260 built and looking for load data on a 130gr Berger VLD. Current box loads are 3725fps looking to load for faster velos. Thx.

3725 with a 130 out of a 260 is impressive. Which ammo is that because I'm going to buy a pallet.
We have been shooting the "Impressive 6.5X 08" for a long time.
We shoot mainly 142gr SMK on top of H-4350 and getting well over 2600 fps
We have a good stock of the 130 TMK, but have not shot them due to our .260s are mostly for target now.
The 140gr SGK was and is the standard for HUNTING in a .260. for years they were sought after, and we let some of our personal stock go the LRH Members.

No effing way are you getting 3725fps w. 130s in a .260 Rem. Or a .260AI. Or a .260 Terminator. Or a .260-RUM...
Perhaps a bit of a fat-finger hitting the 3 instead of 2? 2725fps maybe? Which sounds reasonable.
Maybe some clarification on barrel length and if you are actually shooting a .260-338 Lapua Mag Imp 40*...

H4831 has worked well for 129's and 130's.
But to get 3725 with a 130, or better, either
1. Cut the 130 in half, oops in thirds, or,
2. Shoot a 6.5 creedmore

We shot a pile of 130 Accubonds and 130 Bergers out of .260s. The 20" guns would run them around 2800-2850 with H4350, and the 24" guns were in the 2900-2950 range.

I sure hope the OP is not a "one hit wonder" and never comes back to clear this up...
But, I have loaded for quite a few .260 Rems. (and the .260AI is one of my favorite cartridges ever).
I like Alpha SRP. But Lapua LRP brass is no slouch.
H4350 has always been my go-to powder as well. 42.0-43.5gr is the usual range. Start about 41.5 and work up in 1% (.4gr) increments.
130 OTMs are my favorite, with 130 TMKs are very close second in that weight range. Absolute deer and pronghorn slayers.
Expect 2850-3000+fps depending on barrel length from 20-26" with a 130.

Yes everyone is correct I miss typed the velo in the .260 it's actually 2735 with a 130gr.

I'd would not be chasing speed if I had 3725. The box ammo I was shooting was the Berger with the 130gr OTM from a 22" proof barrel

You were only1,000 FPS off.
I would watch how you are loading. We put 2,600 as a reference point and are shooting around the 2700fps range with 142gr SMK and an undisclosed amount of H-4350.

Sorry to disappoint you Lance but unfortunately I'm new to shoot LR and will be pestering for a while to come. I've reloaded for all my stuff for years and just now trying to get out past 500yds
For all you 260 lovers out there, please treat yourself to a 260 AI, as it is one of the easiest cases to develop small loads with I have ever fired, acting like a big 6 BR. 140s at 2930-2960 is real world, 24", Alpha small primer, H4350.
