t3xer, nice rifle! Before you get going, you need to bore scope the barrel and see what you have. 25/06s are shot out in 800-1200 rounds of super accurate shooting. You can get more rounds down the barrel if your accuracy requirement goes to 1.5 MOA.
We shoot screaming velocity loads with 115g Ballistic tips and Berger 115's, which is my favorite in a 9Twist. I consider these 600-yard loads, and we are achieving more velocity than anything you read in any manual with R#22, 26" barrels. Our X Caliber 9Twists shoot tiny groups at 100 yards.

Mine likes the Hornady 117gr Interlock BTSP so much I haven't tried anything else. I tried IMR4831, RL-22 and H4831SC. It likes the H4831 the best running right at 3000fps. It is an older M77 MKII VT. Sadly, (opportunity wise) I haven't taken a deer past about 250 with it but it has more than I can count under its belt. It holds about .25 @100 with the hand loads. It shot the old Hornady Custom loads at about .50 so I just tried to duplicate those and got it a little better.

What is it about the 101 LRX that has you on the fence? How do they compare, on game, to a 100 TTSX? Have you used the Nosler 100 grain ET on game at all?

I have 3 all 10 twist i shoot 75 thru 120 no problem.

Love the 25's, but as we all know, they are finicky as to which bullet they shoot well. My 25-06 shoots the Sierra 120 HPBT very well. Good results with the Berger 115 VLD as well.

I suspect marginal stability was the reason why my rifle didn't seem to care for the 115s. It never shot good and it never shot bad it just shot right around 1.5" and never seemed to tune in.Twist Rate Stability Calculator

You always heard a mixed bag on them in a 1-10" twist. Unfortunately it seems mine is one that it doesn't agree with.

I have shot the Sierra 117-120 Gamekings over 4831 with outstanding accuracy and good terminal performance. It shoots so well out of my old Ruger that I am afraid to change the combination of powder and bullet. Over 35 years with this combination.
