I recently purchased a custom 25-06. 26" Bartlein barrel, 5r, with 1-7.75 Twist rate. My 1st Reload attempt for this firearm will be using H4831sc behind Nosler 115gn Ballistic-tips. Since there doesn't appear to be any "official" Load Data out there for this Load, can some of you provide a starting point with this combination and things to think about when working this Load up?

Thanks in advance,
Perry

Sorry. I missed the "sc" part. Never used it, but Hodgdon's website says H4831 and H4831SC are "an exact ballistic match". Both labels show the same 25-06 load of 52.0 grains with a 117 grain bullet. Nosler lists 52 grains as max for H4831. You should be good to go with Nosler's H4831 data.

start at 49.0 and work up from there I have found the hybrid 100v gives me better accuracy in my rifle

You are correct they are the same the SC is short cut so it meters better, I don't think you can get just regular 4831 anymore

52 grs H4831 with 115/117 gr bullets is a standard load for 25-06 that shoots great in most rifles. 49 grs IMR 4350 with 115 to 120s is also a great load. I use the 49 gr IMR or AA 4350 which shoots the same for me with Rem. case CCI 250 primer and 117 Sierra Pro Hunter which does 3000 fps from my 26" barrel and is a deer's worst dream. BANG FLOP

Sierra's get lost in the hype but they are a heck of a bullet

54.0 gr H4831SC pushing hornady 117 gr interlock. OAL of 3.170. Avg velocity 2918 with std dev of 7.34. Group size 3/8" out of a plane Jane model 70.

Watch your case lengths. 25/06 seen to growth quickly. The other is you can re-size 270, 30/06 into 25/06 cases. Fire form them and check case length.
