.224 heavy bullets

From experience 85.5 berger will wreck a whitetail, blue collar reloading has them now

I've got 500 80 gr ELDMs available - looking for $130 shipped. I can send a picture in a while if interested.

1:8 22-250 is great! My 1:8 22-250 AI does well from 60-88 gr.

Not trying to derail the thread, but do you have any pics or first hand knowledge of the 85gr Berger terminal effects? Just started shooting them in my 223AI @ 2950. They hit steel like a freight train, but have been a little nervous to try them on deer? Any info would be appreciated

Pics aren't very good but here you go, these were started @ 3300 from a 22 cm . Shot just behind the shoulder at 85 yards, nickel sized hole through onside rib cage , liquefied lungs, baseball sized hole on the offside, broke offside leg bone completely in two, found the cup and shrapnel under the hide.

That'll do! Thank you sir, I'll be trying them out later this week. Curious, what length barrel are you running for that speed? Have a friend that wants to build one on a 20 or 22" barrel and still get 3000+
