I have a 300 Sherman I have the 230 hybrids but was wonder what's your thoughts on the 220 hybrids vs 230hybrids? This will be for a hunting rifle out to 1000yards from deer, bear and elk

If I recall, the 220's are pointed, which generally all but completely closes off the hollow point. So if you did use them for hunting, you may want to at least drill them out slightly larger to ensure expansion and prevent a pencil wound.

Yeah they are close to basically a pointed 215. May as well use a 215 or 230 instead of paying extra for a pointed bullet then un-pointing, or so it it seems.

Yep I killed a bull at 300 yards with a 220 last fall, he died quick with internals torn up in classic Berger fashion.
I also shot a buck with the 220 lrht at around 530 yards, total mush inside and it left a 2' wide blood trail.
I've done expansion tests out to 1300 yards and they're opening up more consistently than 180 hybrids, no need to mess with the tips these expand by collapsing in on itself
