Looking at building a short barreled .22 that will be supressed. Still am trying to decided between 22-243 and the 22 dasher. The problem i am seeing with the 22-243 that it will not give me hardly any velocity advantage over even a 22-250 in a short barrel (20-22"). I am now thinking that the dasher has the perfect short fat case design for the short barrel. I have a redding 3 die set for a 6br can i have my smith run the reamer in the body size die and seater die to make them into 22 dasher dies. I see redding has 22 dasher dies but are about a 6month wait. If you have some info on the speeds you are seeing with the dasher that would be great too. I am going to be building it on a rem 700 .243 and am also curious about how it will feed?
