My 22-250 AI has a 1:8 twist barrel - I've shot 55-88 gr bullets without any issues.

My 22-250AI has 7" twist, I only run 77g and higher for mid-range F-class.
The 60g Partition has no trouble with a 7" twist, but that's the only hunting bullet I have used in it for Fallow deer.
An 8" twist will do everything a 7" twist will, but allows more use of light bullets 50g and up.
