Just wondering what other primers would be comparable to these . I hate using them up when I'm just missing around but still want it to shoot good thanks for any help

I've started using a lot of CCI primers. They're slightly cheaper (maybe $5.00 per brick), and easier to find for me locally.

The CCI equivalent to the Fed 215 would be the CCI 250, and for the Fed 210, the CCI 200.

The Fed 210M equivalent is the CCI BR2. I don't believe CCI makes Match (BR) primers for magnum large rifle...But I could be wrong.

In the past, my preference are as follows...

1. CCI250/200 and BR2
2. F215M/210
3. WLRM/WLR
4. 9 1/2M/9 1/2

However, last year, while developing load for my .300 WSM with 215 Berger, surprisingly the 9 1/2M worked best with RL-17.

from what I was told...the only difference between a federal "match" primer and a standard primer are the color of the box, and that a "senior" inspector looks at them before being packaged.

I was also told that when demand is super high, as it has been for awhile, they don't produce nearly as much "match" grade primers as the standard to try to keep up with demand.

but that's just what I was told so take it with a grain of salt. that being said, I do purchase the match grade when I can, but I will buy standard if need to

Match-grade primers are individually weighed, sorted, and packaged with similar weighted primers so the consistency is greater. I'm sure regular primers are all weighed, but just not to the same tolerances as the match-grade primres.

This is what what I was told by folks with more inside knowledge than myself, so I took their word for it.
