Spring turkey hunting is like fall elk hunting, but a bit cheaper….and just as much fun.

I was able to tag my first turkey opening day in Wa!

Never been a turkey hunter, but I got an invite and could not turn it down. My partner got this bird to come in to 55 yards and put on a good show for us. I believe he would have come a bit closer but a big gust blew over the decoy and he immediately quit showing off and was about to split. It was late in the day and we were out of time so I went ahead and took the shot.

Same here with turkey hunting, this is my first year actively pursuing them, I wish they grew antlers like elk and deer, it would be much easier for me to tell the difference between male and female

Got on one today. Found this carved in a rock outcropping in a pasture in SW ND. This was about the time this area was settled. I'd sure like to know the story. Pretty cool area.
