155 scenar\'s, amax\'s, vld\'s

Hey guys,

Has anybody used the Lapua Scenar 155, or the 155 AMAX or the 155 Berger VLD out of a 308?

If so, what sort of velocity are shooters getting from a 24-26" barrel and what I am really looking for is true BC's

The sinclair catalog states the 155 Scenar at .508 The Berger web site states the 155 VLD at .484 The published BC for the 155 AMAX is .460 Has anybody come to their own conclusion as to if these BC's are close?

I am looking for the highest BC I can get from a 155 grain match bullet fired from a 308 win

Thanx for the help

Try a Cauterucio 155. I shot some in my Palma gun (30" tube) and they were very, very accurate. Bob C could tell you their BC, I'm pretty sure it's significantly higher than a Sierra.......

I've shot the 155 Scenar through my 308. I found that the advertised BC seems to be correct. I bought a bunch of them as they fly faster and equally as accurate as the 175 Sierra from my rifle.

I've not shot the 155 A-Max or 155 Berger.

Here's a previous post about the 155 Scenar. Also gives speed of the load I use.
