Hi all
I just purchased a Sako m995 .300 wm. Rifle in nice shape with under 100 rnds. down the tube and the price was right.
Checked on u-tub and the 995 had good reviews, upon further searching I found out that the twist is 11" is that going to be able to stabilize 200 + gr. Berger or Barns out to 500-700 yrds.?

I too have a SAKOM995 in .300 WM. I harvested an MT bull elk with 190 Berger VLD (MV 3043 FPS) at 931 yards. Very smooth action and accurate right out of the box.

Altitude is your friend when it comes to SG, try your numbers using https://bergerbullets.com/twist-rate-calculator/

I'm tagging in on this. My cousin just bought a Tikka 300Win and it has the 11" twist and have been trying to determine what bullet to use. Running numbers the 168gr LRAB and 178gr ELDX seem to be a good fit, since he wants to be able shoot out to a 1000 on elk and deer.

Play with the Berger stability calculator but at 2500asl you will stabilize a 210vld, 210lrbt, 200eldx, 195tmk and probably many others

I have a custom 30/338 LM IMP built on Sako M995 with a Lilja 1-11" twist that shoots the 210 VLD at 3250 fps, .5 moa or better at 1K, I think you'll be just fine with the bullets you mentioned.

I've got a 30" 300wby with a 1:11 lilja. I shoot 210 bergers @ 3075fps. I have taken this out to 1400 yards with zero issues at 800 feet of elevation. Your 1:11 will do fine with 210s.

Congrats on your 995. I have two of them. 1 in 30 378, and the other in 7 STW. Very nice and accurate rifles.

I shoot 11 twist in a 300wsm with the 210 Berger. 2875fps in my 1000 yard bench rest rifle. Many guys are using this combo for 1000 yard.
