I just got in a Deviant Comp for a client and a Proof prefit for a Ruckus and it was perfect just like everyone before.
Nothing noticed in mine. That's all I've used for most of a decade.
Well, Bob definitely adjusted his pricing and the way he treats dealers, but quality appears solid.

Only complaints I've ever heard about defiance have been pricing. I'm not a dealer and don't know any defiance dealers well, so I haven't heard anything about the dealer treatment for good or bad. But their actions have always been excellent.
He was wanting dealers to keep stock, then undercutting them on sales!

When Beck raised prices on his actions, he raised them on gunmakers on their existing orders. I know one precision rifle company that went to another action for their branded actions because of that.
He's gotten into BAT territory now, on the upper end offerings.

I am a fan of BAT - yes you pay for it but as it is with many things, you get what you pay for.
I have a few defiance actions but most are 8-12 years old and still run like they should. No issues, tight and right. Would I pay BAT machine prices for non BAT quality control...probably not

I've sold off my defiance actions (deviant and tenacity models) except for one that came.from war rifles. No plans to buy more.
They engaged in business practices that I cannot agree with (some referenced by previous posters). Too many other good choices in the market.

I have several or more than several Defiance actions now and over the years and have/had no issues with them. This year I had a rifle built with a Bat Hammerhead and it is really really nice. I believe I see them in any future projects.

I've got more American Rifle Company actions now than anything else. Nukes and Archis. Haven't gotten on the CdG train yet.
