Can only keep one rifle what do you choose?

I have many center fire rifles, from .22 up to .45 caliber. If left to one only it would be my 7mmSTW. I just seem to have great luck while carrying this rifle and it doesnt seem to miss!

This is too easy. I have 10 bolt action hunting rifles and two semi automatic hunting rifles also several AR's. I built a 7mm backcountry a year and a half ago. It is the one I would choose easily if I can only have one.

I'm so sorry to read about your health situation and will keep you in my prayers. I'm 65, once we start getting older, we realize the road in front of us isn't as long as the one behind us.

I just turned 64 on Monday. You are correct. You just don't know how many days you have left but you sure understand better that you're mortal. Good luck best wishes and prayers for everyone.
Well it depends just pick up and head out not to return probably a 22 mag accurate not as noisy suppressed and i can carry an abundance of ammo of mixed variety would be hard to choose between that and the drum fed 12 guage

Would have to be Rem 700BDL '06 with a brake or can if you need.
About 60 grains of powder is enough! More than that is wasted and getting to pricey. There's a great place to be between a 308 and all the 300s. The 06 handles all the bullet weights. Does this really need more explanation, it's the sweet spot for over 120 years!

How's the backcountry holding up ?
I'm really kind of amazed. I was very skeptical and thought if it doesn't work out I just put a different barrel or recharmber to 280 AI if possible but I have shot all the ammunition offered with exception of the Barnes and it works. I shot a Red Hinde last fall at 363 yards with the 170 TA DRT. A whitetail buck and doe. Several pigs with the 155 TA and an Aoudad at 246 yards with the 175 Fusion tipped. I haven't shot anything with the 195 Berger yet. Will try it out on some pigs when I get a chance. Built a couple other rifles a 25 Creedmoor precision rifle and a 300 win mag because I already had the barrel so trying to shoot them in the last couple times out. Will get the 7mm Backcountry when the season starts again for sure. I'm thinking about getting a new Proof PXT barrel in 6.5 that I can switch out on a Terminus Zeus QC action I have. 6mm Creedmoor barrel on it right now but I'm thinking about trying the new PXT barrel and new Federal 6.5 Creedmoor plus Peak when it comes out. Either that or saw that Short Action Customs has modular neck sizing die for the Peak alloy cases so I could neck down to 6mm or 25 Creedmoor plus Peak. We will see. I still haven't reloaded any 7mm Backcountry yet.
