Can only keep one rifle what do you choose?

Magnum, very sorry to hear of this. I knew that you had some health issues……but, nothing of that magnitude!

You will certainly be kept in my thoughts and prayers…..hoping that "somehow" things will get better for you! memtb

Very sorry to read your post, will pray for you and hope for the best! You are still very young.
Thank you to both of you.
I am resigned to this, have accepted my fate. I am not willing to succumb to endless dialysis sessions that just make everything worse.
What follows will be, as I cannot change the outcome.
I am endeavouring to keep my presence here as long as possible, when I go quiet, you will know why. I will inform you all one way or another.

Cheers.

I've always enjoyed your input into conversations…..that will not change!

You're a better, stronger man than many……you know what you must do better than anyone else!

I hope that you defy the odds…..and are with us for a very long time! memtb

Before my divorce, I was a Primary Producer running cattle, Black Angus steers mostly, I also had a breeding herd of both Black and Red Angus.
I would interbreed every other season for the meat trade. This blend offers more muscle than either make alone in 18 months.
With the divorce, I lost all of it and came out virtually broke.
No, having a veggie garden doesn't cut it.
I was going to buy property, but, after my health issues in 2023, there really is no point, as I am informed my heart is beyond repair and my kidneys are failing, so the end grows ever closer. My friends are also dropping around me and we're all only in our mid fifties.
Something evil is occurring in this world currently.

Cheers.
I too am sorry to hear of your challenges. While we do not know each other, I have enjoyed and appreciated your advice. Will be praying for you. Evil does have temporary rule. Soon a time comes when it will not. Hope to see you on the other side.

Thanks memtb, your well wishes are appreciated, but, as my doctor says, my heart is just ticking down to it's end rather quickly and the kidney failing just puts more stress on it. My collapsed lower lung lobes don't help.
I am comfortable with this knowledge, I do not worry over such things, I take each day as they come.
I died before in 2023, 45 minutes of CPR, Defib and pulmonary embolus, so it's not going to be new, been there, done that.
I hope I last longer, but, if not, so shall it be.

I wish you all good health and stay safe, be kind to all. I thank my paramedics, they did all they could and went beyond what they probably should have.

Cheers.

I fear when I die my guns will go to a local gun shop to be sold. That gun shop will look at them and go Bat, Terminus, Borden, ZCO, Tangent Theta…. Never heard of any of these…. And offer my wife a price like they are some china brands.
Im with u brother!
All my rifles are Custom Left Hand, various calibers, also Rem 1100 LH 12 gage 3 in mag, and so forth… i have written what they "may go for" but in todays market with the new "trendy" calibers 6.5 creed, PRC, XYZ, PDQ all that stuff
My 243, 7mm, 270, 260, etc they may be sold for scrap!

I've learned, regardless how bad I think my situation is, there is someone somewhere that life has dealt them a worse hand. I sincerely hope your health improves. Never ever give up!

Tuff question. MY favorite is my Savage 99f 308. Fits me perfectly. But I've inherited my Grandpa's old Springfield 30-40 Krag (and killed deer with it), and my Dad's old 300 Savage 99. So I guess I'd settle for Dad's gun.

One for the world--I'd take a 12 ga shotgun... if I had to keep a rifle I own--probably my 375 ultra mag--not my favorite but man is it effective--on everything--a close second would be my 358 Norma--but would have to get it threaded...
