Can only keep one rifle what do you choose?

308 win. Ammo everywhere. Decently priced. Easy to handle. Recoil is ok.

Having said this, I'd also really like to keep my 22lr, 223, 375hh, and my 45-70. Oh yeah, my 12ga. I can find uses for all of them.
Your milage may vary.

.375 Ruger African, cerakoted, light Pendleton stock, sling, quick-detach Swarovski Z8i 1-8. Have the iron sights for close-up, the scope for everything else. Light (~7lbs w/o scope), very handy, adequately accurate. Head shots make this work as a varmint rifle and can use it all the way up to African elephant, including lion and coastal brown. Works on fish, also. If I can't have this, then I'll take a similarly rifle in .30-06 and eschew the elephant.

Well, see that's the problem. I hunt some very small creatures, even Voles. But I want to be ready for Polar Bear. Hard to do that as well with only one gun.

What about those old over and under 22lr/12ga guns from years ago. It's technically only "one" gun. But shoots 2 different calibers. Hmm...

I have multiple barrels for most of my rifles. I guess I'd choose the one with the most barrels. For me that's my Bat Bumblebee. But then again all those barrels also work on my Bat Vampire as well with the addition of my long action cartridges, so maybe that one lol.

I fear when I die my guns will go to a local gun shop to be sold. That gun shop will look at them and go Bat, Terminus, Borden, ZCO, Tangent Theta…. Never heard of any of these…. And offer my wife a price like they are some china brands.

I set up my .375 in a similar fashion. Used tally quick detach rings and took a Swaro 1 x 6 and a 3 x9 Swaro both in the tally set up. My front iron sight has something like tritium that makes it very very visible. The action is a pre 64. I need to find a reason to take it out again!

I also have irons on my .375 AI……only, the scope is mounted in Leupold QD base/rings…..the same, though no irons, on my wife's .338 WM. We both have back-up scopes in Leupold QD rings……already zero'd and ready to hunt! memtb

Well then, if that's the case, I'll just pick a savage magnum action. If it's ok to switch barrels, I guess it's ok swich bolt faces. Now I can have just about any cartridge.

But, now that I think about it, not much fun in that.

Stick to my guns savage 110 308.

There was an outlaw here that killed more big whitetails at night with a 22lr than most here have seen. Not even considering the ones his son killed the same way.

One thing about it, after reading the responses there will be some very dead squirrels and rabbits! LOL
