Can only keep one rifle what do you choose?

No one has mentioned this so I will. How about a short action switch-barrel rifle like my Seekins PH3? So far I have barrels in 22 CM, 25 CM, 6.5 CM and 308. Still searching for a 338 but I think I am getting close. That about covers everything I might want or need to shoot and if needed I can change barrels in under 15 minutes. 1 rifle. Same bolt. Same magazine. 5 choices of caliber, maybe more. It takes only a screwdriver to make changes and so far every barrel shoots 5 shot sub .5 groups @100 yards.

My Blaser R8 Ultimate Success. It normally wears a .308 Winchester 16.5" barrel with a Thunder beast Ultra 7 can and Swarovski Z8i mounted in a Blaser quick detachable rail mount. I also have barrels in 20 calibers from .22 LR to 458 Lott plus all kinds of scopes and red dots also mounted in Blaser QD mounts that can move from barrel to barrel with the flip of two levers.
You did say one gun, right?
That is one of the reasons it is a popular gun in many countries that limit how many guns you can own, multiple barrels.

M1A 308 would be my first choice but sadly I don't own one, so from what I do have it would be my Tikka 308 and if a handgun was in the mix it would be my M&P 9mm which was my duty pistol for the last few years. My 1911 45ACP would be option two or my all steel Browning Buckmark 22

One rifle..................I have a ton of .22lr but I also have a couple pistols. Sentimental rifles would be my model 70, 30-06 I bought new 49 years ago. The 22-250's I have are tack drivers and I have plenty of supplies to load for them, but they are 1-12 twist so heavies won't shoot well. That leaves my 260 that I screwed together a few years ago, LH Savage action with a Shilen Select 1-9, 24" barrel, very accurate and I have plenty of loading supplies for it too.

The fact I could keep my pistols and muzzleloaders, I'd keep the 260. If it was only one firearm period it would probably be my Tikka T1X 22lr. Even though I have a bunch of ammo for it, not being able to reload for 22lr troubles me.

Then just purchase several thousands of rounds and be done. I have a few tens of thousands setting here.

I'd go with the 280AI I built around an ARC CDG action with a bunch of Frankenstein parts (cause I'm poor😝). Since I put it together myself, I feel like I know all its secrets 😁.

Helps that it always prints a 3" 10-shot group at 600yds for me, and seems to work well with a variety of bullets. Not too heavy, not too light, not too big or too small. Good middle-of-the-road gun for everything (I call it my dandified 30-06).

SOLGW Mk1 14.5 5.56 with Huxwrx can and Steiner or Tract LPVO 1-8 would be able to do everything I would need. Outstanding defense rifle and very capable for hunting anything in Texas
