7 SAUM - what bullet are you using?

180 ELMD at 2920 FPS is MAGICAL in my SAUM.
195 Berger at 2800 has been deadly too.

I had some 180 ELDM appearing to blow up mid flight when my barrel was dirty. I only observed it once, but I quit shooting them and went to 195 Berger. I also never saw the bullets explode, they just never landed on target that we could observe.

After cleaning the carbon out of my barrel I think I'll be going back to the 180 ELDM and seeing if it really was an issue or not. If I could pick the bullet I want to run, it would definitely be the 180 ELDM.
 
I've had pretty good luck with the 162hht and N560. Got 3215 fps at 68 grains. If the fog clears I'm going to try and fine tune the load today. Shooting around .75 moa. Gonna try minor seating depths and powder charge changes.

Probably kills just like the 150 NBT. @dogz can tell you how many ark loads of critters he's killed with that bullet!
 
180 hybrid H1000 63.7gr 2776fps 20" barrel

N565 hit pressure too soon to have great speeds for me anyways

H4831SC is great as well

Right on Kimber, great memory that bullets been so good to me! I've been using it since the late 80's and have yet to keep one in a critter of any size from elk on down to tweety's.

Great bullet, accurate, plenty of BC for most all ranges and generally easy to find. What's not to like eh

It's "old" and dusty.
And deadly as anything ever has been!

*and simple as simple can be to tune.

I have a good load with 168 VLDs and N65. I shot a pressure test with the 175 Bergers and RL 23. It looks great considering there was .5 grains difference in each shot.

Also had a good pressure test with 6.5 PRC and 140 ABLR with RL23 also .5 grains difference in each shot.

For anyone reading this in the future and looking for help. I ended up with two .33 MOA loads. One was the 168 Berger with N565. The other was Berger 175 EH with RL 23. Both are lazzers
 
I shoot the 168 Berger VLD's. Crazy accurate and great performance on everything up to Elk..
 
Hoping to get good results with the 195eol's i have. I haven't started load developments yet
