Reminds me of a John Wayne movie. Forget title. He had a collie sprayed black. When he wanted it to attack somebody he'd say dog !

My bil won a lab plus training in a lottery. My sister was beside herself!
"NO DOGS IN THE HOUSE!"
The dog was to be trained, not only for hunting, but for field trials also.
Sis returned from one of the training sessions with a big smile on her face.
The trainer had told my bil, "DO NOT keep this dog in your home!" Living in an A/C'd house would ruin the dog for summertime trials!
Had s friend who named his dog, "U No".
Some one would ask the dogs name.
Lee would say, "U No."
To which they would reply, "No, I don't know. What's his name?"
Led to more than one inane argument!
But that was Lee!

Trust me, if I tried to dress up my dog it would be a rodeo and I don't think that I could look myself in a mirror for dressing up my dog and I would be forced to turn in my man card!

Finns is all good until we get a bird then it's full dickhead mode. Can't get a good picture with him!

Jonsey can go zero to full dickhead at picture time too. I have a buddy that owns a game farm up here and he called me Sunday and said he had a big group that set 20 birds and only killed 1/2 of em so it would be a good afternoon to come scratch hunt. With 50 degree weather and being out of game shape Jones finally just layed there for some pics.

I was out back earlier with my clowns , deer came running out of the woods at us . Louie started running "with " them . No chasing , no barking , just wanted to see where he ands his new friends were going !

My dad loves Springers. He had one when he was a kid. He'll be 90 in June. I still remember a story he told me when I was a kid about how the dog got a face full of porcupine quills in the face. He went in and got his dad's S&W mod. 35. One of first ones made. Came out in 1935 if I recall history correctly. The came with an 8.75 barrel then 8 3/8 after. He has it now. Anyway he shot the porcupine. I dont know what happened afterwards. It was at Caroga Lake, upstate N.Y. at my aunt and uncle's cabin there. Muddyboots and adk hunter know where that is. I used to snap beach towels at them to get the quills. Raccoons are a different story. Mean little sobs lol.
