It has never been my intention to bad mouth the Hammer folks. It was my intention to walk away and let them sell bullets to folks that will buy them.

That later part doesn't seem possible with people like @WYO300RUM He now brings up another forum, which I WASN'T banned from. But who cares, I've been banned from much more poplar sights than HammerTime...

Barnes first came out with the X bullet in '89. Nowadays the newer bullets are machined out of copper, and I think that takes us one step further than the Barnes. The LRX is a tough bullet to beat, value wise. AFAIK, Barnes casts their bullets. There are expanding vs fracturing bullets also.

I can see your point if the Minié ball taking us back to the Jacketed Projectile, but it just seems a bit more complicated than that, and if it wasn't I bet some of us would find other pastimes.

Nothing new to utility patent.
Do we have better designed bullets, yes. Better tollerances, yes.
But, they are still bullets, not really something new to patent.
