Have a few 10s now, but I have owned well over twenty 10mms in my time (all kinds - pistols, revolvers, PCCs). I love Smiths, but haven't tried any of the new M&Ps, yet. For your purpose, Can't go wrong with the Glocks - I have a 20 and 29 and have had others of those plus had a 40. However, one of my faves and in bear country, my carry gun is an FN510Tac - 15 and 22 rd mags, its threaded and for fun a good suppressor does quiet it enough to not wear ear protection, optics ready, optics height night sights, has a rail for laser, light, etc., multiple backstraps, they now offer it in a 15rd "kinda" compact - 4.1" barrel vs. 4.7", handles and shoots like a dream and has FN's long proven, 135yrs+ military and public historical and proven functionality and reliability. I have run several mag dumps thru her and with a variety of ammo in the same mag - no issues what so ever, albeit a lil noisy. And, FN was partnered with John Browning for years and are now the Parent Company to both Browning and Winchester.
