What is the the most flat shooting cartridge yall can think of?

Without getting downright silly with necking some monster down to 22 caliber.
It's pretty hard to beat the old 257 Weatherby for flat shooting and being able to make it rain fur.
You can get a 75 grain varmint bullet to 4000 fps.
I was loading 87 grain Sierras in mine @ 3880 fps when I was using it for ground hogs and foxes. It would decorate the landscape with varmint
The 257 was fast before fast was cool!

Don't know what the point blank range was, but my 6.5-300 WWH only required 19 MOA to go from a 100 yard zero to dial on at 1,000.
We shot those and the seven 300 extensively in the past …flat shooting laserbeams!!! The seven 300 was right around 20 MA to get to 1000 consistently. Long range killer on Deer and bear back here in Pennsylvania.

McKelvie Improved 244 H&H magnum if you are really sure barrel life isn't an issue. No experience other than what I've read but, iirc, 3600 fps with a 115 grain bullet sounds impressive.
Not for me though. It was intended to reach out to cross canyon Scottish Highlands stags and African plains game. I think it was intended the bang would scare them to death ;).

I'm doing load development now for my 257 Roberts AI with the 115gr Berger specifically for long range Coyote zapping. It isn't exactly flat shooting, but I have a Sightron STAC 4x20 scope on it and want to practice my dial-ups and wind calls. I'd suggest not using the TTSX and look at one of the less expensive cup and core bullets - like a Speer. More shoot'n for less money and the perform very well. I shot the barrel out of my 25-06, it's going to get re-made into a fast twist 22-250 some day. A 257 Weatherby would be my ideal Coyote long range cartridge for MPBR.

243 AI
108 Berger EH @ 3250 fps
Hunt with the fireforming loads also
Barrel lasts around 800-1000. Last 2 were 800 rounds.
Mine is zeroed at 100. Just works better for me that way as all my rifles are the same zero.

You're already on top of it with your 2506…257Wthrby is flatter at the cost of barrel life and expensive brass…

(Out to 500yds for yotes, lions and mule deer these are ideal with very minimal trajectory DOPE to commit to memory….
in the 700-1500 yd shooting pursuits you already know you need very high BC bullets, more powder to drive em and a ballistics program to steer them to a target…lots of proven calibers and platforms there.)

If the 6 PRC is not enough, there's always this:

BTW, I have brass on order (est. August 2024) and barrels awaiting (1-use, 1-fireform)

The OP is talking about MPBR which has nothing to do with ELR. Hammers maximize MPBR potential for most cartridges.
Yep. For MPBR, it's about speed. Nothing to do with bc. I do believe that I once saw a smart feller pen the term,,,,,
Fastest is flattest and flattest is fastest.

For mpbr, physics doesn't allow for anything different.
