Lets talk waterproof socks

Sealskinz were my last hope. I have tried several brands and none were even water resistant, let alone waterproof. Any suggestions?
I've never thought about waterproof socks before. I've always had a good waterproof boot (I use Zamberlans, but my friends use Kenetreks and Crispis and they have no complaints)

I've done a lot of hiking in my time. I've tried 'waterproof' socks and in my personal experience my feet would sweat like a liberal on election day and that would promote blisters and really rank feet. I've found that good wool wool/blend socks like Smart Wool, plus my full upper Danner boots sealed with SnoSeal and tall gators work best. If I get wet above the calf I don't care. Usually my pants are NOT denim so they dry out quickly.

I tried waterproof socks once, after that realized it was better to just carry a couple extra pairs of socks. I'm a lineman and work 16 hour shifts whenever a storm hits. So we work in whatever weather is causing issues, rain, snow, sleet etc. all waterproof socks did was end up water logging my feet and creating sores. Couple pair of wool socks in winter and a few pair of dickies work socks for the rest of the year. Good pair of waterproof boots makes a lot more of a difference than socks
