I have not suggested that anyone should buy a Spina red dot, and I do not recommend them. I only recommend the scopes.

Yes I had to send the red dot back, and was refunded in full, so at the end of the day it did not cost me a penny, it was just a waste of time.

You seem to have an axe to grind with Chinese people, have they done something nasty to you ?

Here is a direct link so you can see for yourself, and don't have to rely on the observations of bultinkle.;)

I recommend this scope, it's wonderful. I have two examples of this model.

FWIW I do not like the Chinese Government, but I have no problem with ordinary Chinese people.

PS I much don't much care for the Canadian or US governments either.

Kinda think I understand both propositions posted. I've found scopes to be relatively easy to figure on some level. Each premium layer is more exponentially more expensive for less and less gain per dollar. Each person picks what company ethos they like and hopefully buy witin the tier they feel is right for them. At the upper end there will always be hyper specialization and trade off that each company will eventually be known for. We'd all like kahles glass with atacr toughness with vortex warrant with March's specs and Athlons price... but alas it's not so.

On the bullet situation.... nowadays the packaging recommends twist so that helps. In most calibers there are factory cartridges in several grain increments correlating to very minor fps gains. Beauty is you get to pick what you want and go for it. Obviously mixing extremes has its downsides but some still make it work, 300 blk out 125s don't perform great in a 300 rum and bullets that hold together in a 300 rum might not be best suited for 300 blk out.

Keep in mind some of us have built reamers and barrels setup for certain projectiles and still had hit or miss success. Some times the formula just works, other times it's off..

I'll go with Optical Honesty.
I will never order a scope online unless I have tested it on someone else's platform first, avoid disappointment, you get what you pay for however.

As for Bullet Clarity, well the options are endless, and that is half the fun finding what works in your barrels and for your intended purpose.
Nevertheless it can be frustrating when an idea/ particular load doesn't work, but you just have scrap it and move on until something does.

The Barrel picks the projectile, powder ect, Not you. Although after some experience you learn to start closer to the mark, and line up twist rates, length ect to a projectile.
After years of load development and chasing groups to find what would shoot well in out of the box rifles, my first rebarrel with a premium barrel changed everything. I have had 5 rifles rebarrled now and cannot get one of them to shoot a group over an inch no matter what I run through them.
My first experience was fire forming my 280ai. so I was burning up bullets that I could no get to group in my out of the box rifles. The same rifles that could not shoot them well before the rebarrel and custom bedding etc. and now shoot 1/2". A little tuning and often down to 1/4".
What is really important is to have your rifle shoot well with terminal performance bullets matched to the game and conditions you are hunting rather than have the rifle force one to use what it likes. While not cheap by any means to have the custom work done, I'll bet the time and money spent on components "tuning" factory and often finicky files would more than pay for the upgrade. Not to mention the confidence one has with a rifle that is extremely accurate and stable.
I purposely didn't mention brands or rifle makers here. We are lucky to live in a time when there are quite a few folks today that can build such equipment. At least for me the days of frustration are over.
3 shot group off the bench 180 gr 300 WSM federal Trophy bonded tip federal factory ammo at 300 yards. I'm not that good of a shooter to be honest and I'm sure there is some luck here but 1/4" at 100 yards all day.

Same barrel maker, same custom rile maker obviously different rifle.

I am in no way agreeing with anyone that is scamming, nor do I like seeing any of our products come from far away places at the scale that it has become. However, my approach is a little different. I am not a rich man by any stretch, but I love acquiring different rifles and tinkering with things, and improving them, developing great loads for different purposes and such. I feel like that is probably true for quite a few people on this forum. The problem with putting $2000 scopes on every rifle or even $1000 scopes on every rifle is it limits the number of rifles that can be had, and made ready for fun.

As is the case with a lot of subjects like this, everyone has their perspective, everyone has their budget. I choose to have more rifles to have more fun and if a particular rifle proves to be exceptionally deserving of a premium optic (north of $1000), or will be pressed into service where equipment failures have catastrophic affects, I probably wont push my luck with a cheap optic. However, whem I'm out shooting steel with my buddies on any (every) given Saturday, the $400 Arken out-performs a $400 Leupold all day. Dont twist my words or misinterpret what I said....Arken is not better than Leupold, they are better 'for the money', and allow more people to enjoy more features on more rifles for less money.

If someome is going to get their skivvies in a wad, they should also consider in my scenario, as an example, when I decide to embark on a new build or buy a new factory rifle, usually american companies and american workers made the steel, made the barrel blank, chambered the barrel, manufactured the action, manufactured the trigger, manufactured the stock and manufactured all the accessories that go with the rifle (brass, bullets, rings, mounts, bipod, arca rail, etc). It seems to me that feeding the economy by doing this numerous times could have just as much if not more positive economic effects than spending a bunch more on a single optic for a single rifle. Just sayin'.....be considerate of others and their individual perspectives and budgets.
