Seating depth mystery

My 7mm Rem mag's seating depth seams to have changed. My last reloads, 143 ELDX, every thing exactly measures the same, but has resistance closing the bolt and almost impossible to remove the unfired cartridge. However the fired case ejects easily and re-chambers with no force. My seating depth @ ojive is still the same, same box of bullets, etc. What is going on? Here is a picture of my loaded cartridge, the fine ring is made by my ogive gauge, the wide rough ring is behind the lands. What is causing the scraping?

Sorry, 162 ELDX BULLETS
The fine ring is from my ojive gauge, the rough wide ring is .020" off the lands. What is causing the scraping?

it could be carbon but looks too far forward of the neck. I would clean with a quality carbon buster and try again. also try remeasuring the seating depth of the chamber. full dia contact could just be a worn throat....or carbon.

I am assuming that case in pic has been chambered and ejected? You could have carbon build up. I would do a good cleaning and see if that helps the issue paying close attention to cleaning right where throat starts.

Quick question. Does that scraping go all the way around when chambered or only on one side?

It looks like a carbon ring. I do agree it looks a little far forward. I would get some Boretech C4, run some wet patches and let set ten minutes then more wet patches and scrub the throat with a nylon brush. Repeat at least once and check again.
