Haven't finished my first build yet and already planning my second.
I want to put this together entirely myself, so planning on using a

bighorn action..question is which one should I select?

Planning on a 300 Win mag ...wanting to run 181-200 grain bullets to the lands and still feed reliably...so which bottom metal?

Triggertech trigger

Manners EH2..any special fill?

Wanting a 26-28" pipe

Elk and mule deer primary purpose and sheep if I win the lottery

I went with a Brux #3, Holland brake, BDL bottom metal, McMillan Gamescout, Jewel, Borden action, NF SHV. Finished at 10 lb 2oz. Not to heavy to carry and still stable off a bipod. 215 Berger right at 3000 fps. I say do your research and get a properly speced reamer. Built mine 6 years ago and Broz helped me spec the reamer at the time. Good luck on the build the Bighorn are nice and I'd like one. A 215 at 3000 fps is bad medicine.

mine has a 28in brux #5 just like my 7mm, PTG stainless bottom metal, timney 2 stage trigger, NF extreme 20 moa rail, I have no problem running 3k FPS with a 200gr nosler AB. I run them .020 off the lands, burn rel22, IMR4831 with a fed 215

If you're set on a bighorn go with the SR3 cut for a wyatt's Mbe-3 mag with a Hawkins bottom metal. As for stock, I'd go elite fill for light weight. I like carbon barrels, and I'd go proof sendero @ 26". Shooting 200gr you'll only need a 10twist, but if you want to shoot 215-230gr ever jump to a 1:9.
