factory gun; 1:12 twist. Just seeing if anyone has had any success loading for one of these or found a load they are happy with. I know all are not the same, but at least I could get an idea of starting point. Looking to stay less than 168gr.
Thanks for looking..

Is this for target or hunting?

If target, get some Lapua brass, Varget powder, Federal 210M or CCI BR2 primers, and Nosler 168 Custom Comp bullets.

If hunting, same as above, but use Berger 168 Classic Hunters.

Thanks for the reply; will be for hunting but would like the best group possible on paper for sure. Was thinking Berger, TSX, or a Tipped Sierra

Hornady a-max, imr4064 in fed gmm cases gets me great accuracy and velocity in my 308

Replaced the barrel on my X-Bolt with a Bartlien #4 and completed a break-in as per the smith. Factory Federal w/ 168gr Sierra Match King shoots pretty good, but I want to load some 168gr Berger Classic Hunter using Varget, Lapua brass, & Fed 210M primers. Could someone please help me with a photo from the Berger manual? I would be grateful...
