Announcing a new line if rifles i will be offering to customers. As many of you know, i have been making my Raptor line of rifles for many years with amazing results. However, the Raptor receiver is just big and heavy for a true lightweight rifle so the APS Stalker receiver was designed.
Basically designed specifically for the precision, portable weight rifle option. There will be four main models: Stalker UL (UL Magnum also), Stalker Hunter, Stalker TAC and Carbon Stalker. All available in short or long action, right or left hand models also.
The Stalker UL will use a light contour, Stainless fluted barrel, McMillan Hunters Edge carbon shell stock and internal BDL style internal mag box with custom alloy floor plate. Bare rifle weight will be in the 6 1/4 to 6 1/2 lb range depending on barrel length. The UL will have integral scope ring mounts and recoil lug as with all Stalker receivers
The Stalker UL Magnum will be the same other then have the rail options to use three scope rings and have the rail rib connecting for and aft receiver bridge for added strength. The three rings will be used on rifles chambered in magnum wildcats using my PK brakes which can make keeping a scope ring solidly in place a bit of a challange. Three rings does the trick.
The Stalker UL Magnum will come in at 6.5 to 6 3/4 lbs bare rifle weight with 26" barrel length. Pic below.
The Stalker Hunter rifle, as well as T-Hunter model (Thumbhole stock) will use the same Hunter receiver as the UL Mag rifles but will use a slightly heavier bartlein fluted Stainless barrel and detachable mag systems. Stocks will be either Mcmillan BDL or Game Hunter stocks. The Stalker Hunter rifles will come in at around 7 3/4 lb bare rifle weight. Pic below.
The Stalker TAC will use my custom Stalker contour barrel with long shank design, option for full length integral rail or Hunter rail design and stocks will be either mcmillan HTG or Game Warden with options for adjustable CP and adjustable LOP also. Bare rifle weight will be in the 8.5 to 10 lb range depending on options wanted. Pics below:
Finally, the Carbon Stalker will be similar platform to the Stalker TAC other then use a carbon fiber shelled McMillan stock and proof research carbon fiber barrel. Will be standard and magnum offered. Finish weight will be in the 7 to 7.5 lb range. Pics below:
