Bowfishn, looked thru all of the QL data you have provided, but could not find one for Lapua brass and 135 Bergers. Would appreciate it if you could run the following for me.

Here it is with Lapua brass using H2O of 51.5
You will note that the case will be full before pressures are reached with the default burn rate ba. My lot I am running now would give
106 % fill 48.20 gr 2982 fps 2666 Ft lbs 60341 psi
and my previous lot would give
105 % fill 47.80 gr 2997 fps 2692 Ft lbs 62176 psi
so keep an eye on the velocity.

I'm curious why you chose the 135 classic hunter?

Cause I could find them. :)
Have some 140 VLDs but use those in another rifle and don't want to shoot em up trying a new load...
Plus, Berger actually has a load for RL26 and the 135.
Also, thought they might give me a little more case room. The Base to Ogive for the 140 is .758. The 135 hunter is only .716

Wow. Did a ladder from 46.8 Gr. to 49.0 Gr. with the data above provided by Bowfishn. The results were surprisingly close. I may have a node in there somewhere but my SD numbers were way to big to really determine. Need to fix that...

How many shots at each load did you do?

I'm working my way up into the low 49 grain loads with the 135 Berger's also. I've had single digit SD's with a large rifle primer (Rem 9 1/2M and Fed 210). My sweet spot was starting to show at 49.3 and between 2950 and 2970 fps depending on primer. Changed batches of powder and I lost almost 50 fps on that load and my SD's grew. I'll try working my way up again.

I agree with cody's assessment of your numbers also. Working that area should get you some good SD's.

I haven't lost interest in the 135 Bergers and RL26....just need to spend more time, and work with COAL.

Have you tried small rifle magnum primers? That would be my next step in your shoes. I have some Peterson small rifle primer .260 brass coming to use in my .260 AI, and with how slow of a powder Reloder 26 is, it may neccessitate a magnum primer in the small rifle variance to get lower SD numbers.
 
This was SP Peterson new brass, and I used BR4's. Normally I"ve been using CC450's....I have a lot of them and use them in 6BRX as well. I'll definitely try them next time, and I also have a good supply of Rem 7 1/2 BR's as well. I've found them to be an excellent option.

I've got 200 pcs of Lapua SP and 200 of the Petersons to work with.

I had HIGH SD as well. SD was 17 fps across 15 rounds of 46.8 Gr RL26 in the Lapua brass and the BR4 primers. Accuracy was also just so,so and 1 MOA as well...

Also, think the issue is the slow powder along with the small primer AND extra small flash hole in the Lapua brass.

Believe you and Cody are right about trying the CC450s above. My issue is I cannot find any in town. I'm gonna try some Hornady brass and F210Ms to see what I can get.

Also, In this thread or another thread (not sure) a guy had to use F215Ms with Hornady brass to get good SD and accuracy. I'm gonna try this combo too.

I had high SD of 17 across 15 rounds of 46.8 Gr. RL26. I shot this as part of a break-in and fouling. Think my problem is using the Lapua brass with the small primer pocket and a CCI BR4 primer.

Thanks for your load report. It's encouraging. I'm gonna try Hornady brass with F210M next. I might even try some 215Ms.
 
I wasn't having the luck with 26 that I am seeing here...Careful with the mag primers though...I was working on a load with 48 grains 26,Hornady brass and Fed large rifle primers..143 ELD-X's...

Looked promising so I switched out to mag primers thinking I was still under pressure and blew a primer first shot...Pulled the bullets in the rest.. My fault for not working up after changing primers...Didn't think that would happen though..

Never did find anything with 26 that I liked better than 17...

I guess if I want to shoot 6.5 bullets fast I will just break out the 260ai.. ;)
