Would like some suggestions.

I have a Rem Long Range 700 7mm Rem mag that I have had customized with Kreiger 1:8:25" twist 26" barrel - sendero contour, Manners Stock, Timney Trigger. I'm shooting it with 4x20 Burris XTRII. I can't seem to get better than 1" groups from 100 to 300 yards.

I've tried shooting 180 Berger VLDs with 68.g - 70.6g RETUMBO. I think this gun should be at .5" vs. 1" gun.

I've also tried 175 Hornady ELD-X with Retumbo and that shot even worse.

Nosler Brass, CCI Mag Primers...

Any other suggestions on Powders with the heavier 7mm Rem Mag bullets? Going on an elk hunt this fall in MT.

I have very good results with a stiff load of R22 and a 150 TTSX. This bullet is very forgiving for seating depth. Most rifles are just fine with about 0.030" jump. And they perform wonderfully on elk. I have a few thousand federal 215M in hand so I have not bothered to experiment with other primers.

Good luck with the loading and even better luck on your elk hunt!

I use H1000. I've had good groups and velocity from it. I use it in both of my 7mm rem mags.
Sendero: Hornady brass with 162 SST lit by CCI 250m @ 67.5 gr
SPS: Hornady brass with 162 ELDx lit by Fed 215m @ 68.0 gr.
I have also played with the 168 Berger's and it did fine with them as well. My es and sd have been really good as well. It seems to burn clean in my gun and I feel like it's very consistent.

Try RL23, RL26, and H1000.

I load for several different 7RM pushing 168 HVLD and RL23 in the 2940-3070 range.

H1000 also works well for the 160-183 range of bullets. Very temp stable as well, clean burning, and accurate.

My personal rifle shoots the 180 Berger Hybrids over H1000 extremely well. A fairly mild load @ 2996fps, but crazy accurate. In the .1-.2s. This load has taken 4 elk for family members in 2 years. From 75 to 662 yards. I also have a reduced charge weight load @ 2860 that In thought my kids might have needed, but turns out the girls shoot the full power load just fine.

I also shoot the 183 SMK over RL26 with great accuracy and great velocity. Still finalizing the load, but shooting in the .3s @ 3045fps.

how far off the lands are you running that eld-x?
I've had really good luck with them from .060-.080 off.
H-1000 is a good idea for sure.

I've had great results with hornady 175 eldx and 62.5 gr of re22. Hornady match brass and remington 9 1/2 mag primers. I shoot a remington 700 long range.

I get very good accuracy (<.5 moa out to 700 yards) with IMR 7828 pushing the 160 grain Accubonds at 3100 fps. M700 with a 26" ss Krieger #6 contour 9.5 twist rate.

What base / rings are you set up with?

How experienced are you in reloading? What reloading components do you have? What seating die are you using? What is your reloading process? Have you ever produced .5 moa loads before in another rifle at 300+ yards?
Just some thoughts.
