We all need a trashy hound to chase around!! I was in the best shape of my life when I coon hunted every night and cut wood. Now I don't have dogs or cut wood I need to lose 30lbs.

I hope they bring Remington out of the hole they have dug themselves into. The shotty work and bad customer service has turned me off from them.

After looking long and hard at several rifles I bought A Rem 700 "BuckMasters". Cleaned the barrel and went to shoot it Sunday. Fired the first shot out of it and the shell wouldn't extract. Had the cleaning rod with me so I pushed it out. Looked at it and seen some scratch marks on the brass...

No aluminum in this one DB. I'm kicking around whether to spend the $3oo on an hs precison or just buy the sps stock for $100. I've got a 10 year old Rem 700 243 adl synthetic that never moves poi. But the larger caliber might need something different.

"Choate stock are prety cheap and pretty flexible due to their being injection molded" Choate must have been in business for a while it has 1987 date on it. I didn't hear about them until their stocks going on the savage.

Question I have a Rem 700 BDL 7MM MAG. Old gun one of the factory stainless barrels, old safty that you have to have on fire to move the bolt. It shoots good but you sight it in and carry it around hunting and in the truck and it moves poi. It done it last year when I had a proven Leupold...

Looks like everbody likes the 300 Rum. Does anybody have one in a 700 SPS model and if you do how is the recoil?

I'm needing a new gun for mostly whitetail and every couple years elk. I'm hung in between 7mm Rem. or the 300 Rum. I'm a reloader and was thinking the 300 Rum. and 150 grain bullet for the whitetails and 180 for elk. What's everybody else think?

Thanks for the advice on the head space problems, I'll scratch that idea. MadDog
