Remington 700 BDL "Varmint Special" .223

Just picked up one of these for the wife and was wondering if anyone here has any opinions on these rifles.
From the barrel code it's a 1984 model any idea of the twist?, I have misplaced my rod or I would have checked it.

Frank, I think you will find it to be a 1-14 twist. Those rifles are beautiful. I had one in 308 years ago, and it would drive tacks all day. Haven't seen one of those in a while, or else I would own it!!! Have fun!
